A small team of staff and students have set up an Olympic Club to introduce a variety of different aspects of organizing and co-ordinating an Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and subsequent Olympic Competition.
On Friday 19th September a group of 22 Year 8 students led by Mr Caruana and accompanied by Mrs Threlfall, Miss Wearne and Mrs Thain left lower school by coach at 7am to travel from Dover to Calais by ferry.
For the first time in history a staff netball team was victorious in the annual lunchtime encounter.They beat a team of speedy boys, a team of less speedy other staff and most impressively the girls netball 1st team.
Children in Need 2008 - £5,860.05 raised as students, staff and parents all dig deep into their pockets for a good cause!Friday 14th November saw the annual fundraising appeal for Children in Need 2008.
WHISPS is a collaboration of five schools in the local area; Worth, Hazelwick, Imberhorne, St. Pauls and Sackville. Each of the schools perform their own programme of music, and the evening ends in a joint performance which brings all the instrumentalists and choral singers together.
On the 7th November, 35 Year 11 Gifted and Talented students were offered the amazing opportunity to visit one of the country’s leading universities, Oxford. We set off by coach early in the morning and after a quick stop on the way, arrived in Oxford at about 11.00am.
On Thursday 23rd October our Year 13 Theatre Studies group travelled to the Theatre Royal in Brighton to see the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Romeo and Juliet.
