Year 9 rugby v. St Andrews
The Yr 9 rugby team played St Andrews in the State School County Cup. They lost 26-0 but this score flattered the hosts as both teams played some excellent defensive rugby. The score at half time was only 7-0 to the visitors. In the second half the away team’s superior strength and rugby knowledge outplayed Imberhorne and cruised to victory as our boys tired. Debuts were made by 5 players and a squad of 24 is excellent to have. A good effort but one that will be quickly forgotten as we have Warden Park later in November - a class side. Fingers crossed! Man of the Match was C. Grainger. The team was: A. Oxley Shaw, A. Leonidas, N. Owens, D. White, S. Anderson, J. Hill, M. Winter, J. Wilkinson, G. Robinson, M. Turner, C. Grainger, D. Englebright, N. Clarke, J. Poulter, R. Pontes, R. Spivey, R. Clancy, Z. Hobday, M. Willett, A. Drury, J. Dean, H. Parks, A. Hardy.
