Year 10 & 11 GCSE Leisure & Tourism Trip to Cadbury World
On Monday the 14 of September we met at 6:30 in the morning at Imberhorne Lane hoping to leave by 06:45. Unfortunately the coach company forgot to send a coach for us but they came quickly after Mr. Weaver called them! We eventually set off just before 7:30 and after a long journey we eventually arrived at Cadbury World just before 11.00am.We rushed straight in for an educational talk about Cadbury World and what they do there. We found out about how much Cadbury get to spend on advertising (£80m!!) and how little Cadbury World gets (£0.5m). After this we headed for the actual attraction and before we even got in we were all given free Curly Wurlys and Buttons! We went through many different themed rooms and learnt about where they found the cocoa bean and how Mr. Cadbury developed it into the much loved Dairy Milk chocolate bar. We went through rooms where we used chocolate to write our names and there was even a cocoa bean ride. During this ride, our photos were taken and I bought a very funny key ring. At the end of the tour we ended up in “The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop”. I bought a 1kg bar of chocolate for my brother. We then went to another part of the attraction where we got given cups full of melted chocolate and toppings like marshmallows and Rice Crispies. This was the end of our time at Cadbury World. We got back on the coach and headed back to Imberhorne Lane, not forgetting to stop off and have a KFC at a service station!T. RichardsYear 11 Leisure & Tourism student
