Miss Gilman, our Dance teacher was delighted to take our Year 10 and 11 GCSE Dance students to see Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London on Wednesday 18th January. This was a rare chance for the students to see a live performance of a piece which they are studying in class and on which part of their GCSE theory paper is based. This has improved their understanding of this exciting and clever production and will better enable them to evaluate and critique the work in their exam.One Year 11 student commented: "watching Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker was an amazing experience that we’ll all cherish for a long time."
