Musical Talent at Imberhorne
The annual KS3 Musician of the Year concert was held on Thursday 7th June in a packed Di Gasson Theatre. The concert showcased an eclectic and diverse display of musical talent from across KS3. A staggering 30 acts auditioned and it was an extremely difficult decision process to manage to whittle it down to just 18 acts for the concert. For some of the performers this was the first time they have ever performed publicly and each and every one of them did so with boundless enthusiasm, immense style and tremendous musical talent.
The guest band of the evening were the fabulous Year 12 BTEC trio who rocked the socks off audience members whilst the judges deliberated and agonised over that all important final decision. After the monumental task of deciding on a 1st 2nd and 3rd place in the categories of Instrumental and Voice we are pleased to announce that the winners for this year are:
Vocal
1st Amelia Fraser
2ns Olivia Harrington
3rd Clover Silva
Instrumental
1st Rowan Greenwood
2nd Nathna Dichmann-Olsen
3rd Trinettra Ruben
The music department and the school are very proud of everybody who auditioned and all those that took part in the concert. It was a wonderful evening and even further evidence that music is alive and kicking at Imebrhorne. Thank you to all those in attendance and thank you to all those at home that continue to support our musicians.
