This year has been a very exciting year for our Imberbees. We now have 3 active hives and, with the help of a very keen group of students, the bees produced some Imberhoney in the summer. We entered this into the National Honey show at Sandown Park in October and were completely delighted that it was awarded 3rd prize in its class. Several students also had their ‘bee-themed’ artwork that they completed for the recent 'Art challenge' entered into competition and the following students were successfully awarded certificates:

Ella Rayner – Very Highly Commended

Scarlett Hollister – Highly Commended

Freya Bradstock – Commended

Our Imberbee project was also entered into the national ‘Year of Green Action Bees’ Needs Awards’ for which we received a certificate in recognition of our contribution to Pollinators from Lord Gardiner of Kimble at the DEFRA.
