What better way to kick off proceedings at Imberhorne’s I-Fest than with a stunning performance from our Voice in a Million Choir, who were picked to perform on stage at Wembley Arena earlier this year. I-Fest has been praised by parents and members of the community alike for its show of community spirit and warmth, not to mention a wealth of talent. 

The festival, which raises money for the much-loved Tanzanian Exchange programme, was the perfect climax to a fun and fruitful Year 5 taster day during which 300 students from local primary schools visited Imberhorne and were given free wristbands for the event.

Staff, students and governors united to help at I-Fest, which boasted more than 1000 visitors and raised in excess of £6,000 in support of our Tanzanian link. Fantastic musical performances included soloists, duets, choirs and bands; and festival goers were treated to the visual spectacle of some breathtaking dance routines. Compering the event with several bags of humour were Dan Goss, Sam Narramore and Jake McCallum, Imberhorne’s very own cheeky trio to rival Ant & Dec.

A well-stocked 'I Can't Believe it's not Pimm’s' tent and bar, a bouncy ‘Human Demolition Zone’, cake and sweet stalls, kids corner with games galore, tombolas, face and nail painting, BBQ, popcorn and ice cream were just some of the goodies on offer making this a community festival to be remembered.

Headteacher Mr Martin Brown commented, “I-Fest put on display many of the characteristics and qualities we hold dear as a school; everyone saw what a friendly and welcoming school community we are. One parent whose child has only recently started at the school said it was unlike anything they had encountered elsewhere, making us really quite unique!”
