As expedition season finally drew to a close on a very wet Sunday 20th October, we are thrilled to report that this year we have seen an incredible 88 students qualify for their Bronze award, 18 for Silver and 4 for Gold!Thanks to Mrs Short, Duke of Edinburgh leader, who works tirelessly to run an excellent training programme after school throughout the year as well as the many weekends she and other members of staff and parent helpers spend on the South Downs, in the New Forest and on Dartmoor for the expedition part of the awards. Well done to all the students who have learnt new skills, completed charity work and pushed themselves to take on new challenges throughout this scheme.
