It was the last week of June and the first week of July and that could only mean one thing! It was time for over 200 Year 8 students to embark upon the annual adventure that is La Grande Découverte. An eye-wateringly early departure and the overcast skies didn’t dampen the spirts of the excited students as they set off for Calais and the charms of the Old Town of Boulogne. Students enjoyed a packed programme including; Nausicaa, the amazing sea life and conservation centre, Etaples a typical fishing town, Le Touquet beach, a visit to the war cemetery at Etaples, a disco, a snail farm and a croissant making lesson at the boulangerie!
